Turbo-Stricken - Speed knitting

Am 02.02. ist die Wolle hier angekommen, 2 Bobbel Maxi-Kolibri von Wollium, 900 und 750 Meter feinstes Merino.
Am 03.02. hab ich angefangen :)!

On Feb 2nd the yarn has arrived, 2 cakes of Wollium Maxi-Kolibri, 900 and 750 meters finest merino.
On Feb 3 I started :)!

Das wird noch eine Melnessa-Tunika (für den Live-Kurs in Helmstedt und einen späteren Kursbaustein für fortgeschrittene Swing-Stricker), die diesmal etwas anders aussehen wird: Der Halsausschnitt wird gerade, und ich habe vor, ihr eine gerade Unterkante zu verpassen.

This will become another Melnessa tunic (for the live class in Helmstedt and for a coming Swing-Knitting Workshop for advanced Swing-Knitters). And this one will become a bit different: The neckline will be straight and I plan to make the bottom edge straight as well.

Stand gestern! Ich hab es tatsächlich geschafft, den langweiligen Glattrechts-Teil schnell zu stricken statt ihn immer wieder weg zu legen und was anderes zu machen :)!


This was yesterday, and I really succeeded to knit the boring part in stockinette rounds fast instead of putting it away and knitting something different :)!

Gestern hab ich dann geschlagene 8 Stunden an der "Quadratur des Kreises" rumgerechnet - es ist ja nicht nur so, dass ich einen Weg finden muss, um dieser Tunika eine gerade Unterkante zu verpassen ---- ich muss ja auch nachvollziehbar erklären, wie ich es mache, damit es dann jede für ihre Tunika selbst machen kann ...
Und heute probier ich dann, ob mein Rumgerechne wirklich aufgeht --- habe für alle Fälle eine Rettungsleine eingezogen :)!

Yesterday I spent 8 hours (!) trying to square the circle --- it's not only that I have to find a way to make the circle into a rectangle for this tunic ------ I have to find a way of explaining it in a way that the future knitters of this tunic are able to make the calculations for themselves ... 
Today I'll knit my calculations hoping that it will work --- yes, I drew a lifeline :)!

Warum ich so heftig Gas gebe?
Das hat 2 Gründe - einmal soll meine Mutter diese Tunika mit gerader Unterkante zu ihrem Geburtstag am 9. März bekommen, und zweitens will ich sie zum nächsten Stricktreff Ende Februar für Fotos schon fertig haben!
Da kommen ja auch noch Ääääääääääärmel dran .....

Why do I hurry so much?
There are 2 reasons for it - first this tunic will become the birthday present for my Mom for March 9, and second I want to have it finished for a nice foto-shooting during next Stricktreff by the end of February!
And there a re still sleeeeeeeves to add ....
