4 x 100 g Andromeda or 3 x 100 g Ein und Alles 6fach
5 x Andromeda or 4 x 100 g Ein und Alles 6fach

This is a Swing-Knitting pattern that can be knitted without any prior knowledge of Swing-Knitting!

Andromeda is a large crescent shaped wrap with three outer points (corners).
The pattern is worked with short rows, in a way that the wrap doesn’t have a front side or a back side. Both sides show a nice pattern.
In order to achieve this goal, I had to develop a new variation of Swing-Knitting™ - the stanzas are alternately knitted in stockinette stitch and in reverse stockinette stitch. As a result they differ distinctly and thus are clearly visible as single stanzas. I can omit the pauses between the stanzas.

The instructions for this wrap are written in two different ways:
1 - as a row-by-row count pattern (pages 5 - 31),
2 - as an instruction for Swing-Knitters™ who are used to working with pins as markers (pages 33 - 52).

All knitting techniques that are written in violet color, go beyond basic knitting knowledge. I explain them in the appendix (pages 53 – 64).

The finished size of Andromeda:
with Drachenwolle Adromeda yarn: 150 x 69 cm
with Drachenwolle Ein und Alles 6ply sock yarn: 140 x 61 cm

If you knit the applied I-cord border only around the neck edge, you’ll need
4 x 100 g Andromeda or 3 x 100 g Ein und Alles 6ply

If you knit the applied I-cord border around the complete wrap, you’ll need
5 x 100 g Andromeda or 4 x 100 g Ein und Alles 6 ply
