Ende gut, alles gut - All's well that ends well

Finally this shawl is finished! The pattern is fantastic, it is Norderney's Stil-Bruch by Petra Neumann, and it is available in English.
I calles the shawl "Longing for Spring" - the greens are so beautiful, and I hat German November weather!!!!!!
It was quite a challenge to catch the greens with the camera. Depending on the light, they look very different.

This version is my third try to knit this shawl!

Version 1: with Hand-in-Hand by Atelier Zitron, a wonderful new yarn:
600 g of yarn were gone, the shawl wasn't finished by 2/3. So I put all my stitches on a VERY long needle to see that the shawl was nearly 3 meters long! The photos of this gigantic wrap are lost in cyberspace - yesterday I got to know that there is no way to read the data from the damaged flash card ....

So I frogged the complete thing - it was a real delight to Yvonne :)! I started new after making some calculations about the size ....
Okay, the size was okay now, BUT .... I forgot to recalculate the angles on the sides of the wrap .... so I got a wavy something .......

So it was HIS term again - this one I got as a present from Nancy from Tempe, isn't he cute?

Try no3: This time I used different yarns, the original yarns Petra used for her pattern: Schoppel-Wolle Gradient combined with Atelier Zitron Unisono.
About Unisono I needn't tell you alot: It is a dream of a yarn!
The Schopel Gradient was a positive surprise: a really good yarn, soft, without any knots, a wonderful color variagation, it knits up very easily and feels fantastic. I did not knit Schoppel yarns for some years because I was so fed up with their unreliability in fulfilling orders ..... but their colors are so beautiful, and the quality seems to be a lot better than some years ago .....

With the first pause I directly had my first tantrum: The Cubics needle tip size 6 broke without any reason or pressure on it.... If those needle tips were not so arthritis-friendly, I would have banned them a long time ago ..... the tips seem to hold for just 3 projects ....

Maschen gerettet, weitergestrickt.

I rescued all stitches and knitted on. The result is worth the effort!

Thank you, Petra, for a wonderful design and a very well-written pattern!
